Head Student

Hi, my name is Sophie, and I am proud to be Head Student for 2025/2026. I have been a student at Furze Platt since Year 7, and I have truly loved my time here. The school has given me so many opportunities to grow - from completing extra GCSEs to achieving my Gold DofE Award. This was only possible with the support of the teachers. I am currently studying A Level Maths, Biology and PE and hope to go on to study Biomedical Sciences at university. My ambition is to work in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.   Outside of lessons, I absolutely love sport. I find the process of working hard towards a goal very rewarding, and I plan to bring that same drive and determination to my role as Head Student. I am always happy to listen and help, whether it’s school-related or not. Furze Platt is an incredible place to study and so I am looking forward to giving back to this community.
