Monitoring Progress for Parents & Students

Students are regularly assessed with monitoring reports being published several times per year. Effort grades (known as A2L grades) for students range from 1 (Very Good) to 4 (Unacceptable). Attainment and effort grades are recorded on grade sheets which are available to parents and students via their Go 4 School login. Year 12 students will have Pre Public Exams (PPE) in June, ad Year 13 students will have PPEs in the early part of the Spring Term.

On-going Support

Teachers, tutors and heads of year liaise regularly to ensure that students are meeting the demands of study at this level, both academically and pastorally. Additional support is provided through the Sixth Form Learning Mentor and Pastoral Manager for those that require it.

Support from home is crucial at this stage in our students life and parents are contacted when necessary to be involved with a student’s progress.
