A LEVEL, BTEC & TECHNICAL RESULTS
A Level, BTEC & Technical Results - Message from Dr Morrison
A huge congratulations to all our Year 13 students on their A Level, BTEC and Technical results! Their hard work and commitment have resulted in excellent outcomes that we are sure will lead to much celebration.
While we congratulate students on the grades themselves, more so we are celebrating what they mean for their next steps.
For the majority, success means that students will pursue further studies at university. Furze Platt will be represented in higher education institutions across the country including Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, International Relations at Cardiff, Economics at Southampton, Biomedical Sciences at UCL or Television and Film Production at Falmouth. We wish all our alumni good luck in their next adventures.
Other students will process to exciting future destinations via apprenticeships and employment. These include employment and apprenticeships at companies like Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Nestle, Marks and Spencer, Softcat and local Maidenhead primary schools such as Courthouse and St Pirans.

As our students celebrate, it is worth highlighting the community effort that has led to these results. A massive thank you to students’ families and friends for their support. Likewise thank you to our Furze Platt Senior School staff who, by sharing their passions, skills and knowledge, have helped students to realise their ambitions.

Key to supporting our young people has been our Sixth Form team led by Pete Ging, our Head of Sixth Form, who commented:
“All of us in the Sixth Form are incredibly proud of this year group of students – and rightly so, as they have been a particularly special group to work with. They have consistently shown great purpose and resilience throughout their studies, which has led to so many of the success stories we’ve seen today. They have also been a wonderful part of the fabric of the Sixth Form and the wider school community and will be much missed. Congratulations to all our Year 13 students. I know that their tenacity, collaboration and vibrancy will bring them similar levels of success in the future, regardless of wherever their next steps take them.”
Meanwhile, @Furze_Platt head of sixth form, Peter Ging said students have 'quite rightly' been in great spirits this morning celebrating #ALevelResults pic.twitter.com/Vc9E8Qi3Id

Dr Andrew Morrison, Headteacher, added:
“The outcomes students have received are the result of a fantastic team effort with many members of the Furze Platt Senior School community working together to support our students gain high grades and secure ambitious future destinations. Thank you to all who have contributed, but most of all congratulations to the students themselves. You are wonderful young adults who we wish all the best on the next stages of your life journeys.”
