A-Level Results Day
Congratulations to all our Year 13 students on their A Level, BTEC and Technical results! We are delighted to celebrate alongside you today as you receive your grades.
Alongside showing students’ skills and talents in specific qualifications, we are proud that the grades obtained today help our students to move onto exciting future destinations. These include employment and apprenticeships at companies like Greene King, Mondelez, Neilson Holidays, Braywick and The Fire Service.
For the majority, success means that students will pursue further studies at university. Furze Platt will be represented in higher education institutions across the country including Biochemistry at York, Marine Biology at Newcastle, History and Politics at Warwick or Production and Technical Arts at LAMDA. We wish all our alumni good luck in their next adventures.
As our students celebrate, we recognise that their success is a team effort. Thank you to students’ families and friends for their support. Likewise, the commitment of the Furze Platt Senior School staff which has helped students realise their ambitions.

Key to supporting our young people has been our Sixth Form team led by Pete Ging, our Head of Sixth Form, who commented:
“Working alongside our wonderful Year 13 students during their Sixth Form journey has been a privilege. Our students have consistently shown impressive determination and purpose throughout their studies, which has led to so many of the success stories we’ve seen today. I know I speak for the entire Sixth Form team in saying congratulations to our brilliant Year 13 students who will, I am sure, continue to exhibit the same verve and dynamism they have shown over the last two years, regardless of wherever their next steps take them.”
Dr Andrew Morrison, Headteacher, added:
“I would like to thank all members of our community who have contributed to the fantastic results Furze Platt students have achieved today. Whether it be the expertise of staff, or support of friends and families, we have worked together to support students gain these results. Most of all I would like to congratulate our students on their hard work and accomplishments. I wish them every success in their futures and look forward to hearing about their accomplishments in the years to come.”
