There will be a daily meal deal for £3 of a main meal + pudding of the day (or fruit or a drink). This will also be the Free School Meals amount.

Steps to Top Up Meals

• Open the Arbor Parent App or log into the Parent Portal.
• Select your child if you have more than one.
• Go to Payments (via Quick Actions or the menu) or scroll down to Accounts on the homepage.
• Click on the Meals account.
• Click the green Top up account button (the minimum top-up amount is £2).
• Select the Bill payer and enter your desired payment amount (and an optional note).
• Select Pay now to go to the secure checkout or click Add to Basket to pay for multiple items at once.
• Enter your Visa or Mastercard details (Apple Pay or Google Pay may also be available) and complete any required bank authentication.

As part of the school’s sustainability strategy and steps to reduce plastic waste, drinks in single use plastic bottles will no longer be sold (although other drinks will be available). We would encourage all students to bring a reusable water bottle into school and refill at the water fountains.

All other aspects of our catering service will remain unchanged. Parents and carers will still upload lunch money and students will use the biometric system to pay for purchases. (Any unspent balances at the end of July will be ready for students to use in September.)

 

School Meals

There are two breaks during the school day, 11.15 – 11.45 and 13.45 – 14.15.

Students should pay for food using the money in their lunch account. Parents can top this up online, or can bring cash into the school reception which will then be uploaded. Students may, of course, bring packed lunches in.

Our school offers a café style service, which provides a wide range of hot meal options as well as sandwiches, baguettes, paninis, pasta, noodles and salads. All food, whether bought from the café or packed lunch, must be eaten in a considerate manner. Litter around the school is unhygienic and unattractive, and we expect students to use the litter bins around the site responsibly. Please do not send your child to school with cans or glass bottles.

The school café operates a cashless system with biometric data taken off each student’s fingerprint for recognition purposes. Parents then need to upload funds to their child’s account. This system enables an efficient service to be provided, removes the need for students to carry money in school and additionally parents can view their child’s account and see what food has been purchased.

The school is also notified of the outcome. There is no need to bring any documents into school. If you do not have access to the internet or would like help please contact the school. All applications are treated in the strictest confidence.

Please note: The school receives additional funding if your child is eligible for Free School Meals, so we strongly encourage you to take up this entitlement.
