As part of our Year 7 transition programme, students will soon be taking part in our exciting Longridge Activity Days at the Longridge Activity Centre in Marlow. These days provide a fantastic opportunity for students to strengthen friendships, develop confidence, build resilience and work collaboratively with their peers outside the classroom environment.

Students will enjoy a range of adventurous activities, including climbing, dragon boating, team challenges, Jacobs Ladder, crate stacking, laser tag and trebuchet building. Activities are designed to encourage teamwork, communication, problem-solving and perseverance, all of which reflect our ACHIEVE values. 

Please note: We already hold all necessary permissions relating to participation in water-based activities as this information was collected as part of the admissions process when your child joined Furze Platt Senior School.

All Longridge activity groups have now been finalised and submitted in preparation for next week's visits. The Year 7 tutor team will inform students of their group allocation during tutor time on Thursday 1st October.

The visits will take place as follows:

• Monday 5 October: 7DNB, 7EJK, 7EWS
• Tuesday 6 October: 7HAM, 7ISS, 7LED
• Wednesday 7 October: 7MIG, 7THA, 7VOJ 

Students should be dropped off at Longridge Activity Centre, Marlow, by 9.00am and collected at 3.15pm. Further information regarding travel arrangements, kit requirements and medication has been shared with families in the attached presentation (below). Please ensure students bring any required medication, including inhalers and EpiPens, as these are essential for participation.
