Mufti Day and Easter Fun Run: Thursday 26th March

We are excited to announce that on Thursday 26th March, Furze Platt will be hosting an Easter themed Fun Run in support of Teenage Cancer Trust! Teenage Cancer Trust is a UK charity that provides specialist nursing care and expert youth support for young people with cancer - making a real difference to young people’s lives.
Students will be invited to participate in completing a fun run on the Furze Platt Site over the course of period 5 and will be encouraged to complete as many laps of the course as they would like to. To take part, students will need to have made a minimum donation of £5.
Payments can be made via Parentmail - Accounts and Products - Products (rather than To Pay); this is also where payment for the Mufti Day can be made.
Students who are not taking part will be invited to spectate for part of their lesson during period 5 this week and cheer on the participants.
Thursday will also be a mufti day for all pupils and we are asking for a donation of £2 for students wishing to wear non-school uniform. All proceeds from the mufti day will also go to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
While students will be wearing their own clothes, please be aware that we do expect them to dress appropriately. There should be no offensive slogans, crop tops, onesies, costumes, backless/halter-neck tops or camisole style tops. Skirts/shorts should be of a suitable length to the knee and shoes or trainers (not flip-flops or open back sandals) should be suitable for a day at school. We request no fashion or cultural headwear should be worn, only religious head coverings as per our usual uniform policy.
We thank you for your generosity, and look forward to getting together as a community to support such an important cause.
Regards,
The Sixth Form Student Leadership Team
