Times of school sessions
Lessons at Furze Platt Senior School are timetabled on a fortnightly basis; students must remember whether it is Week 1 or Week 2 (this is clearly indicated in their homework planners and on our website) and organise themselves and their equipment accordingly.
At 8.40am a warning bell rings and all students are expected to be in school. By 8.45am students are expected to be in their tutor rooms. After 9.10am your child must report to Main Reception to sign in.
Lateness to registration and lessons is recorded electronically. Lateness is taken seriously. Any time missed each week is added together and is caught up in a weekly detention.
Our Years 7 and 8 students have a different timetable in some lessons to the rest of the school. This aims to help them integrate into secondary school life at their own pace.
The School Day
Furze Platt operates a two-week timetable.
Years 7 and 8 have their break times one hour earlier than the rest of the school.
