Curriculum

Our aim is to provide students with a curriculum which will be stimulating, varied, relevant and appropriate. Our inclusive school gives each student a broad curriculum which is responsive to individual needs and which will provide them with the knowledge, skills and attributes necessary for success in our rapidly changing world.

The curriculum at Furze Platt Senior School consists of the formal, timetabled curriculum which all students participate in, and the supplementary curriculum where students opt to gain extra skills and experiences.

A full overview of our curriculum and details for each subject are listed in this section but if you require any further information please email James Sheppard, Deputy Headteacher at james.sheppard@furzeplatt.net

Provider Access Statement

This policy statement sets out the school’s arrangements for managing the access of providers to pupils at the school for the purpose of giving them information about the provider’s education or training offer. This complies with the school’s legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.
