Absences or appointments

Q: What should I do if my child is off sick or has a hospital, dentist or doctor's appointment?

A: Absences or appointments should be reported via Class Charts using the Absence button as soon as you are aware your son/daughter will not be attending that day.  This should be repeated each day they will be off school.

Years 7-11 (in addition to reporting via Class Charts)

Appointments should be made after 1.45pm where possible.  Students in Years 7–11 must be collected by a parent and need to sign in and out at Main Reception; if you wish your child to leave school unaccompanied, authorisation needs to be given on each occasion that you are not able to collect them in person. 

Sixth Form (in addition to reporting via Class Charts)

Appointments should be made after 1.45pm where possible. Sixth Form students should sign in and out at Sixth Form Reception (Years 12 and 13) when leaving for/returning from appointments.
