We wish Mrs Bahota well as she completes her GTP placement at Furze Platt Senior. We wish her all the best in her pursuit of her first position as a qualified teacher.
We also wish Keith Evans well as he completes his PGCE at Reading University. Keith has secured his first teaching post at Prospect School in Reading. We wish him all the best in his first placement.
Level 3 OCR ICT
We are poised to submit portfolios for the first year of the course. The course was a direct replacement for A level ICT. We feel optimistic that the course will deliver results in line with the high expectations of the department.
Level 2 OCR ICT
Another successful year at KS4 for the ICT team is imminent, with the completion of the external moderation process. The level of commitment and effort that ICT teachers continue to provide learners is testimony to the specialist status recognition.
ICT Diploma
Furze Platt Senior School has officially been given the go ahead to deliver the ICT Diploma in September 2011. This is the culmination of months of hard work by the Diploma development team. Scheme of work planning, partner collaboration and meetings with business will continue to make the Diploma a success.
