We are very proud of the Sixth Form at Furze Platt Senior School and the high standards it achieves. We are fully committed to achieving excellence and our teaching in the Sixth Form was rated outstanding in 2008 (A Level ALPsTM Report 2008). We
expect students to work hard but we will work just as hard providing the support and
encouragement your need.
Many of you considering the Sixth Form will already know the school well. Others of
you will beaking applications from elsewhere. In both cases, should you be offered
a place, we can promise you comprehensive support and induction to ensure
your transition to our Sixth Form is successful.
Our Sixth Form students are fully involved in the wider life of the school. They are
leaders and role models for younger students. They have many opportunities beyond
their academic studies torepare them for further study, the world of work and
making a positive contribution to society.
